We are seeking a Data Analyst/Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analytics and engineering to optimize processes and support the firm’s operational goals. You’ll help support daily trading operations while working towards more streamlined and transparent workflows. Responsibilities:
• Trading Support: Ensure smooth and efficient trade execution by enhancing and maintaining systems to track trade settlement, automate processes, and resolve breaks and settlement issues. Understand, analyze, and communicate discrepancies with trade related fees and financing charges.
• Data & Reporting: Provide regular performance reports and analysis to senior management, ensuring data accuracy and delivering actionable insights.
• Technology & Systems Oversight: Collaborate with IT and trading teams to manage the firm’s trading systems, ensuring data integrity, uptime, and smooth operations.
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement workflows that improve efficiency in trading and operations processes, reducing operational risks.
• New Trader Setup: Support the onboarding of new traders and manage account setups, ensuring systems are properly configured to handle trading operations.
• Vendor & Broker Management: Collaborate with clearing firm and brokers to maintain data flow, ensuring smooth communication and issue resolution.
• Team Support: Serve as a backup to key team members and provide support for operational needs as required.
• Project Management: Lead initiatives related to system implementation, process improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or data science, preferably in a financial services or trading environment.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and other relevant data analysis or engineering tools.
• Experience with data visualization tools and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of trading systems, financial markets, and risk management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on troubleshooting operational and system issues.
• Attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
